tryed another discord clone yesterday I had never head of called "Root" gotta search root chat to find it in google so terrible name XD it had 720p 30fps video stream but stream audio was not working.

the one thing discord really dose well over any other app is VC streaming and I love that about it, everthing else any old app could do, I have made a few accounts with the alt discords just incase one becomes where we all go next, I hope Stoat becomes good because I like the name XD

seems to be about the same as the rest of the discord clones from my looking into, says it has video streaming but when I tested VC stream share it just disconneced me from the VC so its a little rough around the edges, they already monitized when their product isnt working fully so thats a red flag

the most useful thing discord dose over other aplications is voice chat streaming and call streaming allowing for watching shows and sharing playing a game with friends, the rest of the app is just fluff that really any old app could do

I think most tend not as much of google AI, they had most established supercomputers so they are less to blame for the hardware gold rush and a few of their public implimentations have not been terrible, primarly everything google dose now has some AI squeezed in most of it is a bad product tho.

It's more work to disable all google AI. It keeps growing back like cancer with each update, but AI overview, Gemini and Lens can be killed
Not sure google making it harder to avoid using their ai means its successful just mearly padding the numbers, google thriving in spite of AI is more realistic.
