Anyone who belongs to any minority group needs to be aware that what is being done to trans people can and will be done to them. In a decade we have been stripped of our rights to exist in public spaces by a press campaign and a well funded lobby.

It’s just so interesting when journalists are denied work for having too many conflicts of interest for a story (trans folks) and when they are allowed to consciously tie their lives to their work in a patently unethical way but face no professional challenges (straight people, republicans). Neat!

This is my community here in western PA. And this is great coverage of what is happening and how folks are powerfully pushing back and showing up for trans youth.

We have concentration camps in America and it still has not truly hit public consciousness or the level of discussion we see around other subjects.

This is how these things become normalized. We simply cannot let ourselves become desensitized, we *have* to keep pushing the discussion.

They are banning trans women from female bathrooms, dorms, locker rooms, and sports across campus. They're also cracking down on trans care for minors, though that is unlikely to be broadly impactful since it's a university.
