My (new) job has a light system activated by motion in sections. I am usually the 1st one here and my dept. is at the end of a long winding hallway.

Today, after being off since Thurs., as I walked off the elevators w/headphones on, Prince’s The Beautiful Ones began. I felt those 1st ominous beats.

John Fetterman’s memoir comes out on Tuesday, so if the phone calls don’t work you can always tell him how you feel while he’s on book tour.

This is why I never leave the house without headphones regardless whether I turn them on. Beyond a quick "hello" in return to a greeting and a "thank you" I am not participating.

#nokings rally I went to in Extremely Normie Chicago suburb was easily triple the size of earlier one. TRIPLE. & that was much bigger than I thought it would be. Previous one, occasionally cars would beep, this time every single car was leaning on the horn the whole time. Encouraging cacophony. 👊🏻💚

I am organizing multiple workshops this week for Chicago activists and organizers as we prepare for a possible military occupation of our city. I am tired but moving fast.

Walkability, diversity, as an introvert I love blending into the crowd, access to options that stay open late, mixed-use neighborhoods, and city festivals that are actually in the city and not the outskirts.

I am on the 2nd flr w/a unit above me. My bathroom ceiling is leaking. After a week, someone has finally come to look at it. I currently have no bathroom ceiling but a rapid flow of water coming from where it used to be and have a 4PM job interview. The many octaves and tongues I want to scream in!

I was going to make a post about my job hunting experiences but realized that most people are going through it or know someone who is and already know.

I am aware that many are looking for work and the job market is insane. I am doing a bit of whining and hoping on my TL. After being somewhat forced out of my job in May, a job I liked, I have scored an interview for a job I am qualified for but not on paper. There are many candidates. 🤞🏾🤷🏽‍♀️

I have a wedding to attend online (what!). I am wondering how presentable I have to be. I will try really hard not to turn my camera on.

I must've subscribed to an outstanding block list. I have been scrolling through Bluesky on and off since 6 AM EDT and seeing posts that say 'don't engage, just block' without knowing who is being blocked. Just now, someone wrote his name. I went to block, and I see I already have him blocked. NICE!

I am also a former Lane student who would sometimes take the Western bus there with friends after school. Sometimes we walked there.
