You pay taxes. If you make too little you get your tax back. That’s called a refund. If you get it all back it means you paid O taxes.

Now after you file the government has incentives called credits.

You are using terms that mean different things and you are trying to say it’s negative income tax. No that’s not true. A tax credit does not count as income tax. It does not show up on your paystub. You are TAXED. Credit is separate

But you are mixing up two different things and clumping them together.

You said they get negative tax. That is not true. They get their tax back and then are given credits on top of it. That’s not negative tax. That’s zero tax with government credits.

It’s not the same thing.
