I was living in my loft downtown in early Tribeca. There was a knock at the door one day. Late 80s early 90s. It was Val Kilmer. He was filming in the area and heard I was there. He was a fan. He gave me a Goldie CD. He was great. We hung out a little and he went back to his set.

I never got to see them, but I did have “Flipper suffered for their music, now it’s your turn” written on my skateboard.

Damn this album hit hard when I was an impressionable youth.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.
