One of the great joys of parenthood is seeing your children push themselves to be better. Today is one of those days. Continue to pour into your children and you will see how amazing they can be.

I recently finished The Barn by Wright Thompson, which tells the story of the murder of Emmitt Till. A lot of learnings from the book but one that stood out was that the system that led to his murder was no accident. It was purposeful and meant to keep things a certain way. A recommended read.

IP News: The USPTO has finalized a rule to adjust fees, which will take effect 1/19/2025. Initial takeaways: 1) increased fees for continuations and RCEs under certain circumstances;
2) Design patent fees are increasing; 3) cumulative IDS filings can become costly.
