11.08.2025 21:36 β π 95 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The number of democratic responses to Trump that are "he's doing some thing bad and *he's doing it poorly*" drive me nuts. We certainly don't want him doing it better!
11.08.2025 19:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe we don't want the despot sending the military to US cities to have a battle plane. Thanks.
11.08.2025 19:31 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also, the thing that a lot of people won't acknowledge: Nobody *wants* to be on the street. So criminalizing it, sending in the military - it does nothing because what else are they supposed to do?
"Have you tried not being poor?" come on.
There are already judges that just "don't grant" motions that would be ordinary in any other court. This lawlessness gives more of a green light for that kind of behavior in all cases, and no lawyer should just tell themselves everything is okay if you don't work on "hot button cases"
11.08.2025 12:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It matters that a"sliver" of the judicial system is now lawless and despotic. The judges issuing or upholding these sliver of rulings are also the ones ruling on family court cases or criminal cases or personal injury cases or mergers or whatever it is. The sliver of lawlessness infects everything
11.08.2025 12:10 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Dunking on a large language model for not counting letters correctly just shows you don't understand the technology.
There are a lot of legitimate objections to AI but this isn't one of them.

24.07.2025 15:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Biggest tech pet peeve: when a screen loads, pauses, and then loads a new element and things shift. Often, I clicked on the thing I needed just as the new thing loaded and now I've clicked on the wrong thing.
Load the layout, then populate, don't move things that have shown up on screen!
Ok it happened

23.07.2025 19:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The rocket analogy is interesting, but I don't get the cost criticism.
If it cost $90 to charge the big battery 10-80%, but it cost the smaller battery $45, twice, to get the same range, one of those isn't cheaper, you're just capped on the capacity. Right? What am I missing?
An underrated form of social media is European travel bloggers coming inexplicably to Houston and then attempting to walk across 12 lane highways only to discover that there are no sidewalks or any other ways to get to any destination on foot once you get outside the city center.

20.07.2025 22:44 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I keep saying AI can be a tool for some use cases but the complete blind reliance is just fucking nuts. And anthropomorphizing of a text generator is also nuts. It didn't "lie", it doesn't "know" not to do something. It generates text. Good lord.
