Resetting electronics after each stint to program into the ECU. Adding oil into the forks and/or putting in new springs after each stint, because he’s finding the limit of carbon discs. This takes time. Plus, he’s being used as a test mule, so I’m sure they were also giving him new parts to try.

After his first stint out, they’d have the ergonomics set for him. That’s the easy part.
That said his fastest lap at Aragon on his BMW this year was 1:47.442. So, I’m sure he can go faster with more time. But how much faster on a turd of a bike? That’s the question.
