Easter present!

A former students achieved a first at Edinburgh this summer. She loved the course and is excited about her future plans. It came about after we talked about what she could study and I suggested Art History. I'm so proud of her but I also know that the skills she has developed will be transferable!

Never really had any dealings with them although I remember being taken to the races when I was about 9 and a dog broke its kneecap and I heard the owner tell the vet to just put him down and he walked off. I sobbed for days 😭 Looking forward to next week!

I hear you! I have started pilates to try and strengthen, and...drum roll...I've signed up to a greyhound rehoming centre to walk and groom the dogs!! I met Charley today who would rather lean against my leg than walk 🥹 For the rest of the day I've been beaming saying "I got to pet a dog today" 🐕‍🦺

I loved my comics and wouldn't be parted from them. When we moved, my dad told me I had to get rid of some. After an hour I came downstairs, face tear-stained, clutching a battered copy of Twinkle. I held it out and with a quivering voice said, "You can throw this one away."

All our gardens are full of bird loving foliage so when my next door neighbour took out everything including the trees to just have a lawn, I was gutted. Couldn't believe anyone could be so selfish. Upside is, they all moved next door to us!

I taught A Level English Language for 20 years. It is not an 'easy' course by any stretch. It is also inappropriate to use this as a gauge for English language competence. Perhaps those saying it is would like to produce a 2500 word language investigation for me!

The said bag is only big enough for a paper bag and my phone. That in itself is just a problem, but telling me I will be harassed by staff on the way round really made me feel welcome in a place I paid to visit!!

Apparently the whole station knows I am a very rude madam after I told him I would have to leave the carpark to find somewhere else to park. He told me I couldn't leave as he had more things to say, which he proceeded to yell at me as I turned my car round to leave and find somewhere to park!

What a miserable day of people acting like arses. First up Mr "We're not a cashless society" at the station Park and Ride which unbeknownst to the whole of our town is now incurring a fee which we have to pay in cash to someone not in an uniform or with any ID and no official signage.

How serendipitous! My blog post today is about Louis Toffoli. Hadn't heard of him until someone I follow on X posted a specular work by him!
