🧬 We incorporated a protein reproducibility (i.e. how reliably a protein is measured) which helps explain variation in correlations.

Higher reproducibility = stronger, more consistent mRNA–protein relationships.

🧬 We found that mRNA-protein correlations can vary a lot by tissue with some drug targets poorly captured at the RNA level.

This suggests RNA expression alone might not be enough to guide treatment for these targets — reinforcing the need for proteomic data.

🧬 Most anti-cancer drugs target proteins, but clinical decisions are often based only on DNA or RNA expression.
This mismatch can lead to missed targets or ineffective treatments.

OnCorr helps fill that gap by mapping mRNA-protein correlations across large-scale pan-cancer datasets.
