Just me hating showering, basic self care hard a good portion of the time

My technique for dealing with someone else apologising a lot is to say "so you should be!" I only do it with people I'm close to. I learned to stop apologising and either push through the insecurity or thank ppl for their understanding/patience instead.

Being middle aged and me in the UK, buying ibuprofen on the regular as one can only buy a small amount (which I understand). Stretching before a social having what I call floor time

Slightly embarrassing disabled person shuffle on the tube. Me with stick + sunflower lanyard, in priority seat. Guy w less steadiness got on, I offered my seat and asked an apparently non-disabled person for seat... who limps off at next stop. Oops!

Yes, I'm sure I'd be the same in different circumstances. I live in the UK, it's mostly very secular.

I just stopped myself from commenting on an unthreatening religious post by writing my original skeet.

Sometimes I have to actively stop myself from commenting with an obnoxious atheist thing.

I am, at heart, an obnoxious atheist. I just try to keep it in check! Except if I get preached to directly, and then I feel comfortable to be rude back.

Yesterday evening, view of the St Pancras Clocktower at dusk. Was physically comfortable temperature-wise to be out. Spent the afternoon lying down in the dark indoors waiting for when it was ok to move outdoors. Meds and fat make it hard for me to regulate my temperature

Meep. Basic self-care is hard. Taking hours to initiate a shower - earning my disability benefits today 🙃

I think I'll spill my anxiety out onto here. I have an incoming visitor (uncertain ETA as yet) and some genuinely gross areas in my home (kitchen and bathroom sinks). I have vaguely warned in advance, so that's good. I keep trying to tell myself that cleaning is an option.

Every time. Currently in despair mode pre shower. Often have deathy thoughts in the shower. When I say often, I mean usually! Will do counting backwards from 299, and a little bit of self-hate

The push pull of wanting to be social but getting overwhelmed in busy environments. I'm not an introvert, I bask in attention... but not when there's a lot going on. Here's my dread pre #ingressFS

When someone commands me to have a good day or whatever in person, I answer "you too, if you can" (when I can speak), which retail workers sometimes seem to appreciate.

I have this response to "have a good weekend" where I interrogate my ability to indeed have a good weekend, and then feel bad about myself, and then get annoyed at the texted small talk from a stranger rescheduling my physio appt, and fret about either responding or not responding #autistic
