Very relatable article. Being a journalist at these events in the 2010s was such an awkward dance. Just slaloming between piles of weird aesthetic choices made by superficial event planners, while anxiously handwringing over whether eating free food was ethical. Great to see that it's back.

The homemade stuff is good though. Saw a someone in a homemade Mae mask & t-shirt holding a «crimes» sign in the Oslo Pride parade and it made my day

Disco Elysium, Outer Wilds and 1000XRESIST were debut games from teams who had basically no idea what they were doing, made early 'naive' decisions they were forced to commit to for the entire development + they ended up being 3 of the most interesting/important games ever made

I have a small Tina 2 on my desk, and it’s so satisfying to just hit print and magic something you need/want into existence. My 12 year old headphones have new parts & Mae from Night in the Woods is on my bookcase

Seeing Blur touring 13 live in 99 was wild. Their early britpop albums get so much attention, but Blur + 13 are my absolute favorites. They still sound current in my ears, just noisy lo-fi stuff and beautiful melodies side by side. I saw Oasis the next year and it was like grey goo in comparison

This. Like I listen to Oasis and it's like oh yeah I too existed in the 90s. Blur has been a *regular* rotation across my playlists *SINCE* the 90s, nevermind Gorillaz.

A bunch of these are up on Thingiverse for 3D printing, if that’s an option.

Also, a cheap small 3D printer with some PLA would probably be easier on the wallet than buying the full set
