I will say, being around other people during the game made a huge difference. Last night’s loss when I was by myself was agonizing. When I went to the ALDS in 2022, the crushing blow of the loss was padded some knowing I was around friends and fellow fans.

I’m not sure. It’s kind of similar to how I felt when I was doing standup: almost too nervous to function beforehand, absolutely locked in in the moment, completely depleted (sometimes good, sometimes bad) afterwards.
