I have received emails from 7 different neuroscientists today, for 7 unrelated reasons. Normally, I receive 0 emails from neuroscientists, and sometimes texts from 1 neuroscientists.

Good man. That pain never really goes away. Even if the offseason, it lingers... Still, this was their best season since 2006!

I think there is a reason they haven't taken off in terms of popularity...

Its a padding that is supposed to help with concussions. They're supposed to be super helpful in negating any head impact.

I see so many excellent records here. One could only assume then, rightfully, that Train's entire discography is also present within the collection. Also Incubus and Matchbox 20. And Hoobastank.

I just had to write an email that was simultaneously, complex, but low stakes. It took me about 15 minutes.

I'm just left thinking how A.I. could possibly have made my life easier in this regard... it can't? It would have taken me just as long writing a prompt to explain the situation.

Every Friday I meet with my research students, and every Friday I am left wowed by the amazing questions and ideas the have. Today produced four pages of notes of thoughts and ideas, and its just a treat, it really is.

It has taken over three years, but I have finally submitted and IRB that did not require revisions!

You know what album has an incredible bullpen: Train's "Drops of Jupiter." Once you get passed all the singles, then you got tracks like "Mississippi," "I Wish You Would," and "Getaway," amongst others. The Blue Jays of 90s alt rock, if you will.

I don't understand the need to use AI for emails when you can just hastily send one with zero proofreading.

This is the one time a semester where I can prep Aural Skills and have music in the background! It's when I'm setting up my syllabus...

I find myself rereading the same couple of books every year or two. A summary is never the point. It's always about getting something new out of some small idea somewhere tucked away.

Some would argue, that what happened in 1992 was a key argument that lead to the break up of the PA based band "Rouge Gallery." Their singer would move to CA to start the Grammy Award winning band Train. They would eventually write the song "Hey Soul Sister." A hit beloved by all.

Beaming with pride after having two students give public presentations today, and beyond their excellent presentations, they were just completely dominant in the Q&A.

Actually! I believe their album "Live at Royal Albert Hall" came out last year, and I listened to it walking around Banff.

I often write and edit at this hotel. Seemingly, many moons ago, I "forever borrowed" a pen of theirs. I had to pull it out today, while working at their bar. The bartender shot me a look... I'm not sure I can ever go back.

Honestly, one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

They are, objectively, the second best artist to come out of Canada, and one of the greatest of all time. Steven Page's solo stuff is also great.
