12.11.2025 14:00 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0A black and white night photo from my camera showing part of my garden with landscaping rocks on the ground, shrubs, flowers and plants dotted around in the middle ground and background. A grey fox is on the right side of the frame. Part of the black line on the top of its tail is visible. We can also see the black around its nose/muzzle area.
The same grey fox in almost the same position but further into the frame now, its broadside to the camera with its head to the left of frame. Its fur looks thick and warm and its tail is ridiculously bushy. All in all, a very magnificent looking grey fox.
Grey fox in the area of my garden that all the wildlife love to visit, they've always come here so a great place to have a camera.

Shrooms troop, only for a few days out of every year. At the site of where a tree grew many years ago. Surrounded by grass.
Glazed mushrooms anyone?

A greylag goose in a meadow. The greylag goose is a herbivore, feeding primarily on aquatic or marsh plants, grasses, but also grains and potatoes. It exhibits no particular dimorphism; the female is slightly smaller than the male.

Shorelark - Great Orme, Llandudno 13/11/25. With the bird reported mid-morning and today giving a brief respite to the poor weather, it seemed now or never. Certainly becoming a rarity on the North Wales coast. #birdingWales
13.11.2025 20:23 β π 39 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0A great camas in bloom. I took this picture last May on my property. This one came up from seed from a native meadow mix. Since it's doing well, I wanted to add more. The flowers are star shaped with 6 purple petals and a light green center. Very beautiful - the flowers are on a tall stalk with multiple flowers opening on alternating sides of the stem. In this picture, there is one open vibrant flower, 2 older spent flowers lower on the stem, and multiple un-opened flower buds further up the stalk. Some native checkermallows are growing in the background next to a log pile.
Yay! My order of bulbs just arrived. Some daffodils but I'm most excited about the great camas bulbs! Got a bunch of them and I'm planning on planting them in clumps between some of our fruit trees. Great camas (Camassia leichtlinii) is a native flower here in western WA. The bulbs are edible too! π±

Did u know? This might not look like an inspiring pic, but as summers get hotter & drier, storing precious water becomes more important. Installing water butts is a great way to collect 100's of gallons of water for tough times. We use the water in our butts to top up our wildlife ponds. πΏπ±π¬π§π±ππΈπ¦π§
