couldn't scrape time to write any new novels the last couple years - my duology should be back available sometime next year! - but I did write like 3 novellas, looking forward to getting some of those out to you soon :3c

if I could do anything else I would certainly at least try it and then do writing as a hobby or side gig, at least once I had my backlist handled. I've only done small press and not trad pub but that's still unfortunately equally capable of grinding authors up into dust

Here to stay but I totally get why people would leave. Esp marginalized folks who don't get as much support (I remain convinced the industry loves its marginalized debuts but hasn't scaled up to supporting long term careers)
