I am not going to snitch to the landlord about the smell, I respect that shit is really terrible and if cigarettes and blunts are how you're managing there are worse choices, but man, they somehow burn their popcorn several times a week and THAT is truly annoying.

To the neighbors who keep smoking the truly dankest weed in this non-smoking building: maybe if you stopped trying to make popcorn in whatever state you have put yourself into you'd stop burning it multiple nights a week. Just a guess.

I know my generation grew up laughing at wipeout videos of children learning in real time how gravity works but like, you know who laughed at my pain and thought it was funny when I was upset? Of course you do, it was the people who abused me and gaslit me my entire childhood about my disabilities.

I think for me, anybody who makes a child cry and laughs about it, like, there's a real upset baby in front of them and their reaction is hysterical laughter, I can't react rationally to that. Kids crying isn't funny. It isn't cute. Their pain shouldn't be dismissed that way.

I have never heard of this show, didn't hear about it when it was on the air, have never seen an ad for it, have never even seen the art somewhere and not known, this is literally the first time I have heard of the show, so that probably plays into how it's not gotten popular.

The two gods (technically kinda 5) on screen in the Faerie States are actively pro humanity, they care about people and societies and justice in a way that makes them extremely dangerous to humanity, kind of the way that the Supreme Court is a dangerous friend and you don't ever really control them.

I know this sounds the same as "just tell yourself it's a zero draft" but something about intentionally setting out to make bullet points, picking up paragraphs in the middle and just spitting up truly raw material is very different to me than saying "well IF I don't like it it was just a draft"

The other and genuinely surprising thing is to begin by typing DRAFT in all caps in the file title. Occasionally if my stuff is really primal I'll use NOTES instead and just put everything possible in there. I'm just drafting! I never even said it was anything like the final product!

I have used two exercises to deal with perfectionism and inertia blocks-- very small text windows or small pieces of paper (because I do not have to know everything to fill it up) and very small goals like "write one short sentence in 5 minutes" (or a micropoem).

If I can just avoid cutting it all off because it's hot, I'm hopeful the top will also curl, which my hair hasn't done since I was like ... under 15.

I like the curl but if the top doesn't grow in any faster I am going to have a Hobbit mullet in August which sounds miserable

Unfortunately I feel like I end up with some big 2010s "soulful boyfriend with a guitar/notebook who believes in your dreams" in a movie about going to college because of the head coverings and I am too old to want to do that on purpose so I dunno.

I've been growing out my hair since the beginning of the year when I shaved off all the extremely damaged hair from Union collapsing and it came back with curls (it hasn't been curly since I was a kid) and I keep trying to decide if I like the curls coming out under my hat.
