Kind of struggling to understand why it’s controversial to suggest that there should be left leaning voices who answer teenage boys when they google “how to get laid” to combat the overtly fascist podcasters and YouTubers who dominate those search results.

I made it five years, too, and then had it a few months ago. It took a really, really long time post-symptoms to test negative for me, so save those tests. The actual symptoms only lasted less than a week, though, so I hope you have the same experience with that part of it.

I am a wealth of knowledge about coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants of all kinds, queer friendly bars, record stores, tourist traps, and maybe most importantly what is actually in Atlanta and what people will tell you is in Atlanta but absolutely is not.

I have never stayed in a hotel in Atlanta because I have lived in or around the city my entire life and my family has also been in and around the city forever. Anytime people come to visit, they stay at someone’s house. So I have zero hotel experience.

#MCAtlanta is coming up soon enough that people are making plans for hotels and the such, and as a longtime Atlanta resident who has lived near the venue for basically all of that time, I am available for questions about my city. The only thing I can’t do is recommend specific hotels.

Atlanta is a driving city, with plenty of Uber and Lyft activity, but also there’s a MARTA train stop right at the venue. So if you find somewhere cheaper that’s not too far from either a train station or that’s a reasonable Uber distance away, it might be worth it.

I live so close to the venue that I have never stayed at a hotel nearby 😅
