Used to break out of school on Thursday nights to head down to Cupids as ID was never required, even to a 15 year old loaded on 2 for 1 Rumple Minze boarding school escapee it was woeful. Needless to say went back many times 😂

His story about his aunt’s funeral when he thought the priest said “in the name of the father, the son and into the hole she goes” still cracks me up - say it at funerals myself 😂

Dave Allen was fantastic, perhaps the best ever, loved in Oz as he toured with the Beatles when they went down under, just one thing though- he was Irish😉

I understand and sometimes we take on those monikers and own them. We take the power back- trust me being where I’m from and trying to turn slurs into power I understand- it’s cool if you own it. We have a depth that relates to the people we all are, and no one will ever walk alone ❤️

Being a very fat kid during my teenage years it used to irk me when the pricks found out I dj’d and sang play they funky music wide boy- but hearing how average white band got their name made it a badge of honour

Had heard #IDLES and thought they were decent, seen them live supporting LCD, thought they were powerful. Really listened to the albums while walking and dealing with shit, reckon they are the most vital band of modern times.
