Our colorist on Infinity Train, when first given the gohm design, colored it various shades of dark gray so you could see all the shapes within it. I said no, make it as black as you can, so you can't really understand the shapes, because I was thinking of my memory of these guys from Willow on VHS

I interpreted the gohms as not being of the train at all but some kind of wildlife from the space the train utilizes

Scary movies about holy forces are always creepier than demons. You just can't do anything if god decrees you have to suffer for some cosmic greater good. And by the rules of the plot you're wrong to disagree. Way more fucked up than a spooky devil making you climb the walls for laughs.
