Gorgeous day for walking in the state parks on Camano Island. My border collie tolerates the slower pace of our walks as I take photos, as long as she can stare at the squirrels periodically.

I purchased this book when this administration came back into office and I haven't started reading it yet. I need to take my head out of the sand and get reading.

Happy birthday! My brother walked the trails of Barnum Point with me and my border collie today. As we came out of a wooded part of the trail, two bald eagles flew from one set of trees across the field to the other trees! They were very low (hunting, perhaps?) and were such a majestic site.

I hope to be a role model for my daughters and granddaughters the way my mom was for me. A single mom with 4 children who demonstrated humility and service, and who was not afraid to quietly fight for her rights. I am forever grateful she was my mom.
