Zaku Zaku Actors is a wholesome game with fun characters (and tons and tons of them join your party) and fun boss battles, it's about building a kingdom out of refugees that got summoned from other worlds, it's very good but super super long!

I think it all depends on what drives a dev to make. If increasing the scope frees them and makes them all excited to continue working, then its all good :D

If it reaches a tipping point where it weighs down the dev, then being more careful with the scope is smart, IMO.
