YES! Lorelai needed to be Rory’s mom instead of trying to be her best friend. Not putting all the blame on Lorelai because Rory is her own person and quite frankly think she would have benefitted from therapy to help reframe her thinking, but she def passed on some of her own trauma and behaviors.

Barring any changes, my income earned for the year will be at about $32k. In CA, I am currently paying $505 for health insurance to keep seeing my amazing doctors. I pay $55 for four different meds a month. If I didn’t have ACA subsidy it’d be $700+. This country hates the poor and chronically ill.

I sound like the biggest nerd but as the first few minutes of the film unfolded yesterday it was such a noticeable difference. The 70MM print is not bad by any means! It was just that moment of “Oh, this is why they shot in VistaVision format” hitting me. Really beautiful work by PTA and his crews.

After round three in IMAX 70MM, I have to say VistaVision is the best format to see One Battle After Another. The texture of the film grain is just so crisp and the richness and depth of the colors and shadows is greater. You can see so much more detail in each shot. Truly worthwhile to go see it.

The language of non-consent around AI is really telling. "It's too late to be scared." "It's here whether we want it or not." "You'll have to learn to work with it." "You can't fight the inevitable."

Willingly subjecting myself to a circle of Dante’s Hell, the Universal CityWalk, to go see One Battle After Another in IMAX 70MM this morning.

The plot of this play is literally a woman kills her husband because she is so in lust with James Dean and honestly… I get it, relatable. Justifiable. We shall let it slide.

They are showing one of James Dean’s live TV plays he appeared in and all three of his movies on TCM tonight. I AM LOCKED IN, LET’S GOOO.

Paris, France: help save a great video store!

Paul Thomas Anderson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Chase Infiniti showed up at my round two viewing of One Battle After Another in VistaVision at the Vista Theatre.

People constantly forget word of mouth takes time to grow, we put way too much emphasis on opening weekend performance before all else with a film.

People are whining that One Battle After Another cost too much money and will have a soft opening but whatever because a) it’s not your money they spent b) movies have a life beyond the opening weekend c) I expect strong legs for this one because everyone loves it
