Only because google search went from using 0.03 watt hours to 0.3 watt hours since incorporating AI in every search regardless of whether or not you use it.

As for ChatGPT? 0.34 watt hours per inquiry.

Clearly, the best option is to use neither.

I’m not talking about media livestreams, I’m talking about the hundreds of personal livestreams. Zero propaganda.

I’m sorry your experience was rough but where I live they were peaceful. Neither experience represents the whole.

Your perspective is personal and that makes it narrow. It does not represent the experience of millions. To get an overall view you must step back and take in as much as possible. From that view it was largely peaceful.

That’s like insisting that all traffic is bad everywhere because you live in a metropolitan.

Do you honestly believe your view, confined in places to a hundred feet or less, and your experience gained in just one of over 2,000 locations, is an accurate representation of what happened over thousands of square miles to millions of people?

Protesting comes in many forms. Feet on the ground is just one and it provides a limited personal view.

Consider the perspective of someone who was on the street in an area where agitators stirred up trouble. To them the protests became violent while to millions of others they remained peaceful.

Of course it makes a difference.

A violent protest is generally known as a riot and the police handle riots very differently.

Watch the recorded livestreams, particularly in LA.

While agitators exist on both sides the interactions between police and activists are mostly peaceful.

So my response is this: It makes no difference to me if they are an armchair protestor or an activist. Both have value.

Protests are not picnics. While protesting peacefully does not guarantee one’s safety, it helps, so organizers emphasize the need to be peaceful and do their best to inform attendees of the potential risks.

NPS parroted those instructions while others called for riots.

They are a harmless & peaceful influencer pushing hope, aggregating news and selling merch.

There are a lot of influencers out there doing actual harm so why should I worry about the one that isn’t?

Look, as a published writer and poet I regularly peddle hope too.

Not because it’s profitable (trust me, it isn’t) nor even because it makes me feel good (it mostly doesn’t) but because it’s an important and too often overlooked necessity.

People need hope.

To date, I have neither seen nor heard of them scamming anyone.

If that changes I will quickly change my opinion about them.

For now, they serve a purpose that I fully support: Hope.

I agree on both points but:

1. No one has an accurate count. That’s an impossible task.

It’s my opinion that their count is exaggerated (and there is no magic in the 3.5% number tossed around), but that is just my opinion.

As such, it holds as much weight as yours or theirs or anyone else’s.
