for me, misgendering itself isn’t what hurts me. it’s the struggle of trying to assert who i am and tell people i care about that i’m not who they wanted or expected me to be, and for the image they had of me to reign supreme over the personhood i took years to claim.

I found it nice to watch when I didn’t have anyone to play with, but I struggle to pay attention.

I’ve always been able to focus on people watching video games though if I can’t afford it and have too much on my plate. I watched a bunch of horror gaming youtubers when I was in middle school

it’s wild that I’m still young overall but there’s some sort of pressure to make me feel like opportunities were missed because I didn’t do them when I was in my teens or early 20s. this is evidently not true, but there is some sort of pressure there. I know it’s changing though.

If you write ‘unalive’ in prose or character dialogue, in your NOVEL - which I have seen TWICE NOW - I will immediately wince and full body cringe. The TikTokification of words has to stop. Your character almost DIED or was KILLED in your novel. They were not almost ‘unalived’.
