No problem! I forgot to link the article I mentioned above: www.metrolinx.com/en/discover/...
31.01.2026 00:00 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I donโt think the plan is firm yet, the design changed a lot from the early 2020s to the diagrams released a few years ago, I wouldnโt be surprised if the design has been/will be updated again
30.01.2026 23:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Last year Metrolinx published an article about VR software they use, and in the screenshots and video is a model of Unions proposed reconfiguration.
The video is blurry but shows basically the entire station and all the platform entrance locations.
In 2023 there was USEP documents showing the entire rail corridor post-modification released to the Toronto application information website, theyโve since been replaced with less detailed diagrams:
30.01.2026 23:21 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The rail platforms between Yonge Street and Lower Jarvis Street will see massive changes in the future.
Going off multiple public sources, most platforms will be combined and widened. Some platforms could be extended by up to 350 metres east of their current location.
Thank you!

The rail platforms between Bay Street and Yonge Street will see massive changes in the future.
Going off multiple public sources, most platforms will be combined and widened, at least 6 new staircases and 3 elevators will be added to improve crowd flow and accessibility.
The next 4 maps for my Toronto Union Station Map Project are finished.

26.01.2026 22:53 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Line 5 Eglinton opens on February 8th!
Line 5 will improve transit service along Eglinton Avenue, and act as Torontos second crosstown line.
In the future, Line 5 could be extended to Pearson Airport and connected to multiple proposed and under construction transit lines.

I truly love doing this as a hobby, and I hope you learned something new from one of my posts this year!
I couldnโt thank everyone enough for following me!
GO Transit will be free again this year on New Years Eve from 7pm to 7am!
55 extra train trips and dozens of buses will depart Union Station after 12am
All 8 lines and stations excluding St. Catharines & Niagara Falls will have service
Last Wednesday all 3 levels of government announced that Kitchener Central GO Station is fully funded
This integrated transit hub will be located on the Kitchener Line just west of the current GO station
Once Kitchener Central GO opens, Kitchener GO will permanently close.
Wrapping up the year with my collection of PRESTO cards reaching 33!
This year a total of 10 limited edition PRESTO cards were released, the most special types of cards ever made in a single year.
The GO Transit Bolton Line. BT has been under development for the past few years, and was recently moved into the much larger GO 2.0 proposal:
04.12.2025 03:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Line 6 Finch West opens in just 4 days!
Upon opening, Line 6 will have one connection to the existing network, at Finch West.
In the future, this line could be extended to Pearson Airport, with 5 additional connections to other lines, building a stronger rapid transit network.
Just for clarification, the Toronto city councillor is advocating for the Lakeshore-Midtown Line, not the Midtown Line, the LM Line was cut from the current provincial governments GO 2.0 map before it was revealed to the public.
Traces of line can be seen on the map, which is why we know it exists:
Yesterday, an updated version of the GTHA in-delivery transit projects map was posted on LinkedIn.
For the first time: all Regional Rail, Light Rail, and Subway Lines in the GTHA region are represented on one map, as well as all provincially funded or supported expansions.
Today Mount Dennis GO Station opened, with trains between Downtown Toronto, Brampton-Kitchener and Pearson Airport on average every 10 minutes.
This is one of many regional rail stations coming to the City of Toronto over the next decade, as GO Transit continues to expand.
Mount Dennis GO Station opens for service tomorrow! A new hub for regional rail, light rail, and local buses in Toronto.
This is the 71st GO Transit station, first to open on the Kitchener Line since 2013, and the first station added to the UP Express since its opening in 2015
To eliminate any confusion, I think Metrolinx is now committed to keeping high floor trains running on the line to Pearson.
The St. Clair-Old Weston section of high platform is 130 metres long, at other stations itโs only 75 metres long.
Probably just extend the platform. By the time Metrolinx wants to Kitchener Line to stop here, the average GO train might be shorter than 315m
13.11.2025 03:17 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The entire platform will be 315 metres long, the UP platform will be 130 metres of that, leading 185m unused, reserved for future GO service.

Part of the platform will be used by the
UP Express, longer 4 to 5 car trains will be able to stop here.
The rest will remain unused. In the future, this station may be a stop on the GO Transit Kitchener Line
