As we face more bushfires & storms caused/worsened/made more deadly by fossil fuels…

It’s the right time to quit EVERYTHING fossil fuels. Divest from institutions that fund, facilitate coal, oil, gas.
Refuse FF sponsorships.
Electrify your home. Remove gas appliances.

Live cleaner. 🤗

Applicant's Oral Submissions at Hearing for Thawley J to Make Vexatious Litigant Order

A Federal Court judge is intent on obstructing legal action against the Commissioner of Taxation.
In previous litigation:
> Senior Tax Officers admitted giving untrue evidence under oath.
> Their solicitors hid evidence.
They caused needless further litigation.

One day there will be less "garbage".
Until that utopian civilisation comes into existence, any technology that hits the fossil gas industry's market share is going to be attacked by the gas industry.

JBS Australia’s Beef City bioenergy system now in operation — JBS Foods The system will eliminate the equivalent of ~34,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

The fossil gas industry is happy to undermine substitutes that erode its market.
These:
1. Electric induction heating for high-temperature industrial processes.
2. Biomethane from sewage, animal and crop waste.
3. Gasification of waste streams (plastic, etc).

This is the case for a majority of people in New Zealand due to the response in 2020 and 2021 which could explain why our excess mortality continue to be lower than other countries. Lockdown gets proven to be the right decision (at the time).

Brain scans show that optimists share similar activity in a region linked to future thinking. They process good and bad events more distinctly, possibly explaining greater social resilience.

Estimated elevations in US population mental illness symptomatology and personality difficulties attributable to early life lead exposure over the past 75 years, by birth cohort. Ridge plots visualize the additional mental illness symptomatology (panels A–C) and personality difficulties (panels D and E) gained by US population birth cohorts as a result of adverse childhood lead exposures over the past 75 years. Panels A–C present elevations in General Psychopathology, Internalizing, and AD/HD symptoms, respectively. Panels D and E present alterations in personality characteristics that are disadvantageous, including increased Neuroticism and decreased Conscientiousness. Elevations are depicted as estimated changes from the mean under conditions of no lead exposure, in standard deviation units

I really hoped that the negative effects of lead exposure, socially, are mostly behind us... but it looks like Gen X is actually hit hard by the side-effects of lead exposure, and it's not going their neurology any favors. 🧪

When video of this surgeon went viral, his colleagues were the least surprised It took a viral video for Australia to see a side of a celebrated neurosurgeon that some of his colleagues and patients had known about for years.
