I wasnโ€™t quite so keen when I saw future race entries putting me in vet 50s, thereโ€™s a few of us at my club hitting that milestone this year

Thanks David, I do take safety seriously on the fells and was well equipped even though my vest was heavy as a result. Lots of people with kids walking up there and they certainly werenโ€™t equipped for the conditions, tried to warn them what it was like up there as I descended.

saw someone asking what trans people did to deserve all the vitriol, & nothing actual of course. but transness breaks the rule #1 of the conservative hierarchical worldview, that your position is to a large degree defined by your birth. choosing to put yourself in a different tier is heretical

Excellent, Iโ€™m hoping for a spot in Spring in Lakeland, I am on the waiting list. One of the shorter Beyond the Lune routes as a L50 warm up, see what happens after that.

Yeah, I got lucky with the ballot for this year so I have my two A races left, hoping to pick up some stuff along the way too. Focussing on May now.

The first one (tomorrow) is because I twisted my ankle badly orienteering on New Yearโ€™s Day. The other I withdrew from for other reasons.
