We now get up to 14 Friends at our mid week meeting. A few years ago we sometimes had one or two. The increase demonstrates an increased demand for worship in these uncertain times. Join us at 1 to 1.30pm at the Friends Meeting House, St.Johns Street, Bury St.Edmunds, IP331SJ.

The arms trade is a root cause of human suffering, facilitating deadly conflict and the suppression of human rights around the world.

Quakers joined other peace campaigners in two days of protest to draw attention to the SDSC-UK arms fair hosted by Birmingham's NEC.

Steam engine on North Norfolk Railway

Saturday, 27th Sept marks the 200 anniversary of the of the Stockton & Darlington railway. Quakers played a major part in the development of railways. One reason for this involvement was the exclusion of Quakers from the professions hence the interest in business.
