I'm a huge Pebble fan! I'm so keen for this to go well! But the Pebble 2 button covers were really just not good, and I'm scared for the Core 2 Duo.

From his responses on reddit, no. There are no plans for something that looks like the original Time Steel/Time 2. He likes how the Core Time 2 follows a similar design to the original Pebble and Pebble 2, and also likes the flat glass which has less distracting reflections.
