Ooh I love her...she's clever like Kate Atkinson...the stories aren't adventures or whodunnits or anything just beautifully written..and I think you'll be happy with the time and "voice" in which she sets them. I started with Old Filth

I didnt really have a problem with the time periods as i recall. But if i re read (or hear again on radio...quite likely as Radio 4 Extra repeats A LOT) I'll bear in mind
