The US legal framework is very hard for me to understand.
One of the tenets of law should be that
"nobody can be required to do the impossible",
like working without pay.
And yet, these people are required to keep working for free, indefinitely.
How can all this be constitutional?

The US is no longer a signatory to the Rome Statute that establishes the ICC.
The US used to be a signatory country, but withdrew its signature, along with Israel, the Russian Federation and Sudan.
Hence, the authority of the ICC is not recognised in the US. 😔
