20.02.2026 12:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0yes, for example! cut out the middleman. i'm sure the crypto bros are already planning a blockchain escrow π
but probably lots of other things too including political action
thinking about why openclaw blew up
1. people love talking to agents with a persistent personality
2. perhaps the first maintstream example of a self-improving software environment
the personal assistant part wasn't new
if everyone has a personal agent, collective action becomes a much less tractable problem. people already have aligned goals; it's the coordination that's tricky. agents can probably help here.
that could have consequences.
amazing how fast we transitioned from "everything should be rewritten in rust for memory safety" to "I ship code I will never read"
19.02.2026 13:51 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0it's so tempting with ai to build the superficially functional version first. build the hard bit first. the facade will emerge naturally.
19.02.2026 13:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The predicted revolution must always be imminent; the reason to hand over money immediate.
16.02.2026 18:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Claude Code should have a team of 5-10 engineers. Instead they're hiring dozens of operators to manage LLMs. Absolutely bonkers.
16.02.2026 16:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is great - thanks for sharing. Interesting you touched on agent languages. I've been exploring this with github.com/djgrant/mdz. Was anyone at the retreat working on novel agent languages?
13.02.2026 16:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fully agree! OLTP = transactional processing as opposed to analytical processing. e.g. if you know your query patterns up front you can relinquish the relational overhead.
11.02.2026 17:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0do you need postgres? i love postgres with all my heart; just wondering if this scales nicely into OLTP
11.02.2026 12:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0til there's a cross-platform compiler that runs on bare metal β it's like java but with no interpreter or vm github.com/jart/cosmopolitan
11.02.2026 12:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0well now that programming is over I guess we just spend all day writing instructions for the computer to execute

A time machine to the 90s web by the looks of it
The two-year long narrative that software engineers didn't adopt AI coding because they were in denial is now obvious horseshit.
Once the models got good enough the industry pivoted on a dime. No-one in their right mind would write code with sonnet 3.7.
I'm not vibe coding, I'm navigating agents through vector space

30.01.2026 01:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0screenshot from the clearsky webapp showing that I am on 2 separate lists, added to 3 days apart: "Anti-AI" by @rcpinto.bsky.social, 8 days ago and: "AI, Tech, & Ratcult Shitheads" by @adrienneleigh.bsky.social 11 days ago
i love that i am on both of these lists, and they're next to each other in order of me being added
this perfectly sums up bsky users lol
πββοΈ so ... for reasons:
I would love to know people's frustrations with:
- the current npmjs.com
- admin user flows on npm web ui (and cli, locally)

These are opencode configs, but I'm sure you can do something similar with claude code.
I have a global env var to make the-scientist an overlay config (not sure if CC supports that), and symlink the other one to my home directory.
In repos. I have a couple:
github.com/djgrant/the-...
github.com/djgrant/dans...
Gut instinct β do you think this is on the way to being shippable, or more in the category of "superficially functional"?
19.01.2026 12:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0How impressive is this milestone given the foundation of OSS projects it is built on? (Not saying it shouldnβt be built on OSS, just curious how hard the remaining problem is)
19.01.2026 10:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As per tradition, a new word for the year.
