Daaaammnnnn I kinda liked Derek Thompson.
Here I was telling myself that it was just Ezra Klein giving him all these bad ideas.

I need a job and I would not take a job working for Bari Weiss. If you are a commentator who cannot see what the play is there, I'm not sure you should be offering commentary.

Perhaps this deserves some cautious optimism.
Rob Doar @robdoar After analyzing the videos, I believe it's highly likely the first shot was a negligent discharge from the agent in the grey jacket after he removed the Sig P320 from Pretti's holster while exiting the scene. My breakdown:
There may indeed have been a negligent discharge by this untrained idiot agent. (And the p320 has had problems with that.)
That alone would be bad. But worse is that his colleague who shot him saw him take the gun so knew Alex was unarmed by then.
Pretty much everyone on IG who has been carefully quiet about politics is speaking out.
It’s. Weird.
I’m not on there all that much, but I think people have finally been given social permission to say the uncomfortable thing.
I think they realize not speaking up will be read as acceptance.
Apparently our electricity bills are going through the roof and this is partly related to data centers that hog huge amounts of electricity to generate information. I, for one, feel hopping mad about this. The companies that are using the data centers should bear the cost.

Piracy will remain inevitable for the foreseeable future because we do not have adequately robust digital archival technology. Every storage device on earth slowly fails/rots.

Printed textbooks are going away too so our Science and History can be revised as easily as billionaires want.
