literally all the reachable universe to produce more of itself: nanobots, dyson spheres, a “justifiable” star-eating cancer

the inability to see beauty and value in things not just like us is an illness. unbalanced. unsustainable and misery-producing

cis white people, and especially cis white men, have trouble with this. i read a book called “more everything forever” and it scared the pants off me, not because the ideas it describes are realistic but because of the pathologies behind them: that humanity is uniquely important and should consume

thinking about people decrying “the groups” and saying it’s really all about the class war, and then recalling robin wall kimmerer’s powerful crystallization of how diverse beings ideally relate to each other: “all flourishing is mutual”
