#psycgooddeedday2025 at Binghamton was an amazing success! Many good deeds were done, and the visitors to our table loved the stickers and snacks, as well as the kindness rock painting station.

Good morning, #psycgooddeedday2025 !
Binghamton University is ready to go!!
As an aside, "Excellence" must be the single-most overused, empty, boilerplate word used in academic bureaucracy and it's typically a stand-in for "We don't know what we want so you should do everything".

I am 76 & I have had most of these vaccinations at one time or another. Also vaccinations against Covid, Tetanus, plus Cholera & Yellow Fever when travelling in foreign countries.
These prevented me catching horrible diseases & dying a gruesome death. They did not harm me, they protected me!
Hey, want to prevent your paper from needing to be retracted? Check out the c4r conference on rigor: www.c4r.io/conference

A more effective career strategy is to p-hack your way into PNAS, Nature, and PsycScience, file drawer non-replications, self-promote with press releases, and excessively self-cite. By the time anyone catches on, you've established yourself as an eminent scientist with tenure.

03.04.2025 19:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0People in the research integrity space don't use the term 'questionable' and prefer to use 'detrimental'. I've been won over by their argument. There's nothing questionable about them, they are simply detrimental research practices. The term 'questionable' minimizes their negative impact on science
