That’s right — your taxes are supporting corporate slave labor. The problem isn’t the people struggling to put food on the table; it’s the corporations that refuse to pay fair wages and the politicians who enable them in the name of profit.

Corporations intentionally schedule too few hours to avoid paying benefits to employees. Then they screw with your shifts so you can’t have a consistent schedule. People want to work full-time, but can’t, so they have to juggle multiple jobs. Be grateful you haven’t had to experience that.

Walmart pays their employees so little that taxpayers have to make up the difference so our neighbors don’t starve, then those folks end up shopping at Walmart since they are often the only food store in town. #Walmart profits off being a shitty employer; corporations are the real “welfare queens”
