In 2020 it was healthcare workers who were anti-vax or anti-mask.

In 2026 (before, too, but esp now), it’s healthcare workers supporting ICE.

They just unalived one of our own, which only affirms that supporting ICE is traitorous to our profession (but we knew that already).

Multiple posts on social media platforms by Republicans who are now cheering on kidnapping and murder, and who suddenly think a concealed carry weapon that WASN’T DRAWN is cause for murder.

Many claim to be Christian or in favor of 1A or 2A. Liars.

Just finished The Man Of Many Fathers by @roywoodjr.bsky.social in the best way: listening to audiobook while holding my 10-month-old son.
Funny parts, but more of it was frankly thoughtful and engrossing, with messages to HIS son that had me taking notes.

Mr. Wood, this book was great.

Buffalo mayor plans executive order limiting city cooperation with federal immigration enforcement Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan announced plans to sign an executive order prohibiting city agencies from coordinating with federal immigration officials.

Police forces around the country have done a lot to lose public trust. It’s gonna be a long way to go to gain that back, but a good start is to hold accountable and refuse to cooperate with the presidential kidnapping and murder squads.

Didn’t _predict_ that I would have to bring this one back, but here we are.

#VaccinesWork and 2026 should be the year that we put more effort and trust in #PublicHealth (not just #vaccines but #masks, better sick leave policies, better #GunSafety legislation, better food access, and so much more.

This. I remember my grandmother talking about how scary it was for parents when a measles outbreak hit.

Also, as someone that caught chickenpox at 19 (despite chickenpox parties as a kid), it sucks, too. I was on an inhaler for months after because it got into my lungs. (1/2)

There was little doubt that We Want Them Infected would spread to multiple viruses. ☹️

AND it ignores the number of serious complications that many kids got from Chicken Pox. Even otherwise healthy kids I would see with severe complications from myocarditis to encephalitis and more. I don’t miss that either.

The number of people talking about deliberately infecting kids with measles and how “everyone got it when we were kids” when they are actually talking about chicken pox is a great example of how effect vaccines have been and how potentially deadly anti-vax misinformation is.
