How should one understand these wide vs narrow fluctuations?

One wonders how the Russians "successfully tested" such a weapon.

Intimidation, access to power, and increasingly right leaning oligarchical media ownership.

It would be an interesting question and article to ask, why that is the case, and what it would take to get them to realize it before it's too late.

I have no idea what that accountability will look like, but it will be a huge undertaking. There will likely need to be an independent task force to work through it all. Otherwise, it could take up all of Congress/DOJ's time and go too slow. Hopefully we've learned something from the Garland fiasco.

Why in the world would the Pentagon's MDA send an *internal* memo making such a ridiculous claim? Of all people, folks in the MDA have to know what the truth is about "100 percent accurate."

The only thing I can figure is that this memo was planned to be leaked.

Intimidation works on most people and organizations. Always has. The unintimidated are rare.

Man, things are cascading into strait authoritarianism really fast now.

You know, it's interesting. I consider myself a pragmatist. Excessive optimism or pessimism are both dangerous.

Looking at situations with clear eyes and making realistic plans is lost on people smitten with either extreme. Pragmatism is the true middle in this country.

It's so depressing that Trump will be the last representative of his generation and it's legacy and not Biden.
