All historians should read this jaw dropping interview as a case study in moral and political decrepitude. Evidence if any more were needed that the accrual of massive amounts of evidence about the past does not automatically engender a critical reflection on the present.

Until I read FOR THE LOVE OF VINYL (the third book about Hipgnosis cover art), I didn't realise that this cover is a composite of airbrushed robots with a photo of a real escalator. It makes sense when you actually think about it; painting two versions of those marbled tiles would be a headache.
