WHO is contributing the mountain of cash to Bruce Harrell’s Super PAC? Billionaires, real estate titans, venture capitalists, and tech executives residing primarily in the tony precincts of Bellevue, Mercer Island, and Medina.

Tell Rob Saka and the other councilmembers to ACTUALLY show up for renters!

Today's your chance to get your photo taken with the famous puppets of @theseattlechannel.bsky.social! Seattle Solidarity Budget will be hosting a photo booth at City Hall at about 4pm ahead of the 5pm budget hearing!

Just watched One Battle After Another.

Definitely loved the car chase scene at the end. Never seen one shot with a telephoto lens like that

Seattle Mayor Harrell has repeatedly mocked his opponent, Katie Wilson, for saying she wants to add 4,000 new shelter beds over four years. Meanwhile, his administration was wasting millions keeping available hotel rooms empty.

I genuinely think experience counts for a lot.

I simply find it enraging when people pretend doing some normal private business job is somehow more qualifying for political leadership than organizing. It should be unnecessary for me to point out why that's problematic.

I know people complain about mastodon being difficult to use, but have they looked at how bsky decentralization works?

I can't seem to wrap my head around it – I understood mastodon pretty easily.

Join a server, add people using their unique handle, use your preferred app. Pretty simple.

"[T]he outcome of the city’s decision was that for nearly a year, Seattle paid for just as many rooms as before yet helped fewer and fewer people off the street with them."

The "Bruce Harrell for Seattle's Future" PAC has raised more money from Medina residents than the "Katie Wilson for an Affordable Seattle" PAC has raised overall.

I installed Bazzite so I can play games on my PC tower around 5-6 months ago. Windows 11 was just being buggy AF and the AI features were being pushed more and more.

Bazzite has been pretty solid and was relatively easy to install.

So many of the political fights in Seattle are about embracing the actual urban character and place it is – vs trying to keep it trapped as some imaginary, characterless suburban village that it frankly hasn't ever been

I guess the people who run bsky are drinking out of the same well as Matt Yglesias?

Simultaneously thinking they know more than the more left folks, being very annoyed by them, but also don't have ability to admit they're being conservative

Basically there's no way out of this through the restoration of American Exceptionalism you see through the gross Liberal Currents people on this website. The way out will involve the US becoming Just Another Country, which also means ratifying all those treaties that every other country ratified

It’s weird that Harrell thinks he can handle Trump when he’s been consistently outflanked by Wilson.

Remote makes it so much easier.

Commuting is such a grind – I still remember my tech support job that got off at 10:30 and I'd have to take a 30-40 min subway ride back after.

It takes years of public outreach, activism & tons of money spent on studies to get good things put in.

Yet it takes only a few phone calls from specific people to have it all undone, regardless of what the broader public wants or needs.

Now it's easy to understand why we have all these crises
