Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth Renames Fort Moore to Fort Benning Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth signed a memorandum renaming Fort Moore in Georgia to Fort Benning.

So Def. Sec Hegseth changed the name of Ft Moore back to Ft Benning. As w/ Ft Bragg, they found another soldier with the same name to make it seem like they weren't just changing the name back to honor a Confederate.
