Trying out a less conventional humanoid torso by playing around with simple shapes.

Goblin in plate armour & leathers, armed with a repeating crossbow & short sword. The compound crossbow has a magically-powered motorized screw assembly that gives it a draw cycle of 4 seconds, with mana provided through various means. The helm, cuirass & other steel pieces, manufactory-stamped from bonded steel, are usually worn only when battle is imminent. These are usually painted with a matte rustproofing compound in earth tones to reduce visibility, although some commanders prefer regimental colours or a polished look. Underneath is worn a half-brigandine doublet coupled with the leather gorget suffices for everyday marching wear. The gorget’s raised collar is constructed from cuir bouilli. Cuir bouilli pieces for the legs are often worn when traveling in spite of the added weight as it offers good protection against typical Harshland flora such as bramblewire. Not shown but a woolen poncho, raw or dyed in neutral or regimental colours, is often worn, with or without the cuirass. Natural oils in the wool resist moisture & help protect the armor from rust. Being technically inclined & of short stature, goblins frequently find employ as boltists. *Bonded Steel refers to different grades of steel & iron fused together magically to form a solid piece with the desired properties.

This arming doublet is composed of a padded upper half & a brigandine lower half. This is meant to be worn in conjuction with a gorget & short cuirass. Arming points are provided for the attachment of gorget, fauld & sleeves. The gorget is constructed of buff leather & cuir bouilli with padding on the shoulders as this is meant to be worn underneath a cuirass. The collar is of cuir bouilli in multiple layers.

There's a highly visible trend over the past decade in how dungeons are treated more & more often in JP pop media as exploitable resources/business opportunities, probably due mainly to videogame grinding for mats & drops.

Influences go both ways.

I get the impression that, after the latest blatant ICEtrocity, a number of 2A-adjacent people on the other site want to speak out against it but can only give the vaguest milquetoast fence-sitting responses in order not to offend & lose a significant chunk of their followers.

An older-model Dwarven asgear which uses rigid struts & servomotors instead of more advanced, lower-profile muscle cables, thus calling for larger, bulkier plates. The reinforced brim is usually worn when facing taller opponents or arrow showers.

Older-style asgear sized for dwarves. The proportions are a bit misleading due to the helm's bulk & the oversized pauldrons protecting the shoulder mechanisms.

Meanwhile, as Drel's forces hurriedly retreated from the capital, Naie of the magical flying oxcart managed to sleep through the whole thing.

Anyways, Clevatess was a fantastic show, even though everyone had a tendency to infodump monologue.
