01.10.2025 01:14 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thatโs flipping amazing and I had utterly fallen out of SWโs orbit. I had like 2 tracks on cassette from No-man back in the early 2000s, was besotted with โangel gets caught in the beauty trapโ and somehow never really found out any more about it. I have much to enjoy ahead! Thank you!

05.09.2025 01:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The cover of The Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard . Itโs a library book so itโs covered in protective plastic which means the cover is a bit ripply. The main design on the cover is an antique rendering of a sun in glory, with a stylized face and golden flames rippling out in a sunburst. The rest of the cover is mainly black, except for the author and title, done in gold, like the sun.
I just finished the Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard. Itโs absolutely stunning and made me believe in something better, at least while I was reading. What a gift, what a tonic for the heart it is. A beautiful, powerful and just book. And funny, too!

23.08.2025 12:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Perplexing commonplace stereotype: people whose occupations would most benefit from unionization being averse to projecting the concept of equity and mutual aid, to their own detriment as well as that of others. I donโt think it was always that way.

22.08.2025 10:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0good news everyone. I finally told a doctor about my now decades-old undiagnosed major depression. Unfortunately the psychiatrist's receptionist keeps hanging up on me but I am now officially allowed to be a nuisance to them and get some therapy for my stupid brain.

21.08.2025 11:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโd imagined the Cat Distribution Service as involving significantly more pneumatic tubes with assorted tabbies and manxes rapidly thooping hither and yon. Perhaps that is only in the urban โlast mileโ and this is more usual for intercity feline freight?

19.08.2025 11:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For extra fun, lede is just a print-industry misspelling of โleadโ as in first, primary. But since the phrase is a print-industry phrase, weโve adopted the idiosyncratic print-industry spelling.
19.08.2025 11:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I expect thereโs a reason โcleaveโ and โcleave untoโ mean opposite things using the same word but Iโm dashed if I know why. Also I feel like โleach/leech out ofโ is missing from the list.

02.08.2025 12:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Cloning aside, I canโt not repeat what thousands before me have surely said before: why is the panel design on these things so consistently dogshit-bad? It makes me want to cover it in tape. Itโs especially boggling because their system 100 and system 55 clones are okay, aesthetically.
