I am once again urging the tech workers of America to form a union

20.10.2025 21:46 β π 326 π 60 π¬ 8 π 1I keep looking at history for tips about how we might make it through this era, but all it is doing is solidifying a bleak and hopeless outlook.
It is worth noting that looking at history paints those who βcondemn political violenceβ, but do nothing to correct its causes, in a very ugly color.
βRepubliconsβ is a good one.
Democrats really need to get on board with misnaming the Republican Party the same way Republicans keep misnaming the Democratic Party.
Since the news has decided to quote Republicans calling it the βDemocrat Partyβ without writing β[sic]β, I think Democrats should start calling it the Republicant Party, and if I see even one correction Iβm going to be pissed.
18.10.2025 12:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Decided to scroll my Twitter (βFollowingβ) feed for a few minutes this morning so I could see who is still posting over there and judge them.
12.10.2025 12:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base donβt even know thatβs what it stands for.
11.10.2025 23:10 β π 21585 π 6513 π¬ 457 π 373In sci-fi, βthe singularityβ has occasionally been misused to refer to the invention of artificial intelligence, but in real world computer science it refers to when computer chip switches reach the size of one atom. If a βtech reporterβ confuses those two things, that reporter is not trustworthy.
11.10.2025 20:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I see economists discussing/explaining the fact that tariffs are a tax on manufacturers and consumers, but not politicians. If I were the Democrats Iβd brand it as the latest Republican attempt to impose a national sales tax, with tax rates that are much higher than the (once laughed at) 9-9-9 plan.
11.10.2025 14:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βThe President says workers who provide healthcare and cybersecurity to all Americans are part of βDemocrat[ic] agenciesβ because Republicans want you to be unhealthy, hacked, and scammed and Democrats donβt.β
- Not the propaganda-less Democrats, thatβs for sure
Please ask one of the data firms your campaign pays way too much money to what the probability is that a 60 year old couple in Bent County, making $80k a year, who receives ACA subsidies votes for you or any Democrat. Then, ask yourself: is this really a good issue to be fighting for?
10.10.2025 17:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Less than 10% of Americans receive ACA healthcare subsidies, and more than 50% of that group vote for Republicans. The fact that this is the hill that Democrats choose to die on, rather than any issue that impacts a majority of Americans, or at least a majority of Democrats, is why they keep losing.
10.10.2025 17:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What do Democrats believe in?
Halting the construction of 60 new prisons per State?
Ending the military occupation of areas that oppose Republicans?
Impeaching officials that take bribes?
Protecting career service workers from politics?
Or, just preserving the worldβs most expensive healthcare?
Am I the enemy as a journalist? A Coloradan? A gay man? I was cautioned to beware of leaders who tell you only they can spot the enemy.
ββ¦ it's the enemy from within, and we have to handle it before it gets out of control," Trump saidβ¦ "It won't get out of control once you're involved..."
US Military commanders received some scary orders today.
Donβt let propaganda quoted by US news fool you.
Republicans want to invade areas of domestic opposition with military force, and thatβs only their βtraining groundβ. If they succeed, theyβll use force to βcontrolβ Canada and Greenland too.
Monopolists tell the lie that you can βvote with your dollarsβ because they know that your dollars donβt actually have a choice.
30.09.2025 18:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It was good for me to come here this week. I think, living in New York, with a relatively reasonable governor, Iβm constantly like βfight fight fight.β
Here, connecting with a bunch of black folks from red states in different situations, the message is βsurvive, survive, survive.β
βI hate my opponents, and I donβt want whatβs best for them.β

How do you feel about living in a country where politicians and their appointees, including the President and Supreme Court Justices, solicit and take bribes, information showing the negative the impact of their corruption is modified or hidden, and the national news repeats ruling party propaganda?
21.09.2025 15:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think a huge part of this is that conservatism is so predicated on an absence of empathy that its adherents are unlikely to have an accurate view of their opposition β something which requires empathy.
Instead, they just see us as a mirror of themselves. Every accusation truly is a confession.

14.09.2025 21:43 β π 615 π 33 π¬ 32 π 10Over and over again Iβve watched our country pretend that a violent individualβs motivations matter, but they donβt. It may be a comfort to think that an individual just made the wrong choices, but looking at an individualβs motivations will never provide us with any meaningful reasons or answers.
13.09.2025 03:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Violence, like poverty, is not an individualβs choice - despite what a majority of Americans might think. We donβt have more violence or poverty than other countries because individuals in the US are making worse choices. We choose to have violence and poverty as a culture, not as individuals.
13.09.2025 02:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I donβt know a single person who thinks the Democrats are in touch with the issues facing our country or world, much less who are enthusiastic about the Democratic Party, do you?
12.09.2025 17:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I miss the days when the stock market rallied on good economic news and fell on bad economic news, rather than rallying on bad news and falling on good news.
The way things are right now feels fundamentally broken.
If politicians actually condemned violence after every shooting, or even every mass shooting, theyβd be condemning violence every day. When they choose to condemn βpolitical violenceβ, but not other types of violence, they are selfishly condemning only the violence which impacts themselves.

Democrats really need to move beyond just generically opposing Trump. At this point, opposing Trump is a boring, meaningless gesture. If opposing Trump was a winning strategy, it would have worked by now. Instead, it has a 10 year history of failing to win elections. Itβs time for something better.
