My jaw dropped at this quote
13.02.2026 14:16 β π 13 π 8 π¬ 1 π 0Sounds similar to my experience. I have a Garmin watch which tracks heart rate, sleep data and so on - it reckons my REM sleep cratered during the illness, and is just slowly inching back to normality now. This was all despite getting the flu vaccine (probably kept me out of hospital though!)
03.02.2026 16:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Made it to the last day of the Art of Manga exhibition at the de Young museum on Sunday, cosplaying as a culture vulture. It was educational - I'd never realised manga's breadth and diversity. A curatorial panel described it as a medium rather than a genre, and by the end I saw what they mean
03.02.2026 15:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I had it in the first half of January, it wasn't fun at all. Although I did manage to emerge with my caffeine habit intact
03.02.2026 15:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My dentist can do it all, from a simple cleaning to identifying my charred remains
19.01.2026 04:32 β π 3363 π 600 π¬ 26 π 9Then YT Music followed it up with a horrific schranzy techno atrocity at 200% volume. Nearly had a heart attack. Back to DJ school for Sundar Pichai

19.01.2026 00:21 β π 5 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0Everybody thinks 'https://' stands for 'hypertext transfer protocol secure' but it actually stands for 'head to this place, sucka' followed by a colon and two laser sounds
13.01.2026 20:17 β π 9026 π 3419 π¬ 64 π 59Season's Greetings card depicting a monster clawing at another monster, festively.
It's that special time of year again...
13.12.2025 22:28 β π 24 π 4 π¬ 3 π 1After watching episode 7 of Pluribus last night I had to go straight to Bandcamp and start mainlining "Esperanza" by Hermanos GutiΓ©rrez

The fact is no presenter has ever had to leave the BBC for expressing conservative views, or even explicitly endorsing a right-wing party.
Was never a problem for Jeremy Clarkson. Was never a problem for Andrew Neil. Was never a problem for Alan Sugar
Clarifications & corrections β’A COMMENT piece in Wednesday's paper wrongly In fact Mr Robinson made no β’ To report an inaccuracy, please such statement. We apologise email corrections@dailymail.co.uk. claimed that BBC Today for the error.
The Daily Mail has been relentlessly attacking the BBC over the editing of Trump quotes in a documentary and look:
It completely fabricated a quote from a BBC presenter. Robinson should sue them for, ooh, at least $2 billion dollars as itβs worse than what they accused the BBC of.
In a just world, RZA would be a billionaire and Dr Dre would have a voice acting credit on Minions: The Rise of Gru

05.11.2025 07:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just got woken up at 3am by a legitimately scary earthquake and realised that I have terrible earthquake instincts - went running to my kid's bedroom when I should be rolling under the nearest bit of furniture
22.09.2025 10:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I recently walked past a car that had a Terrance McKenna bumper sticker, which also made me think of this album. Thanks for posting the link, now I can have a re-listen too!

Is this the coolest backdrop on Channel 4 News ever?
I mean, Cluster &Eno?!
Props to whoever is writing these "Cloud+" phishing emails, they've been running rings around Gmail's spam filters for a good few weeks now
27.06.2025 18:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've been considering whether to get one to sell stuff on Marketplace, sounds like it's probably not worth the psychic damage
23.06.2025 20:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If you did, it would give some of us the chance to stroke our chins saying "of course, I was into PC Hipsta before it went mainstream"
06.06.2025 20:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cartoon of hipster police officer saying "can you stop filming me like that" to a person holding a smartphone. The person thinks his rights are being violated but the hipster policeman's objection is actually that the video is being filmed in portrait mode
Found this old PC Hipsta cartoon in the archives and was glad to see that @pchipsta.bsky.social made it over here

04.06.2025 02:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Still less wild than the Louis Theroux thing IMO, boggled my mind to arrive in the US and hear it on pop radio all the time

22.05.2025 20:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Annoying to get an email saying that Mozilla is shutting down Pocket. I'm sure it's extremely niche by now but it's been my main app for long reads for years & years. Mozilla has been making it worse since they acquired it though so I guess it's not a huge surprise. Time to look for alternatives
22.05.2025 17:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Mine was that the BBC once had ad breaks in their TV shows and had only stopped them when I was ~5. I got very indignant with my parents about this

10.05.2025 02:30 β π 891 π 156 π¬ 5 π 3Always partial to a bit of ambient acid - it turns out that the 303 is fine with leaving its drum machine friends behind and heading out on its own from time to time.
Here's today's ambient acid tip, Transmission III by No Moon: craigieknowes.bandcamp.com/track/transm...
