Some people talk to you in their free time...others free time to talk to you. Good to know the difference.
Absolutely. We are dying at their hands on all fronts.

Let them rot there.
Traitors. All of them.

Yes....I'm old. I've had pain/fatigue for a very long time in muscles. Finally saw a neurologist & had the first set of tests done. On my return appt the dr's nurse said to me "Well, you're going to be disappointed bc the tests don't show you have MS." I was shocked and still have no answers.

Employers=HUGE problem. Takes >than 100 applications/many interviews w/ZERO follow ups/job offers....even top tier, qualified applicants. The whole job market is F*ed. 25yrs military officer=7mos to find a job. 2 degrees/2jobs working for AG's=200 applications. They add you to the "data bank".
SUCKS
It's very small...
16.02.2026 17:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oy...spilling blood too, I see.
16.02.2026 17:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As for movies...a great piece of storytelling always captivates me. I rewatch "A Good Year", "My Dog Skip", "Hachi"....and movies that are based on true stories with sweeping scenery. Not sure if these exist anymore. I'm open to new suggestions.
NO horror, murder, depressing tales. We need JOY.
I'm not one to commit to following 8 seasons of a story...I'm more inclined to pop around a few subjects and let my mind wander.
I like an occasional few episodes of "The Repair Shop", "Escape to the Country" and "Artist of the Year". I was sad when Eugene Levy's "The Reluctant Traveler" ended.
I've discovered the beauty of "Midnight Diner"...a Japanese series beautifully shot in Tokyo. Great characters/story lines.
2/ Clarkson's Farm. What a hoot! Old Jeremy Clarkson of race car fame bought a farm in the English countryside. Watching him learn to farm is joyful & educating.
Starters.
Sadly you're living through a mind desert of ideas. If anyone judges society by what's considered "entertainment" they'd quickly conclude everyone sees life in grey-tones, life is filled with horror & deceit and it's all perpetrated by foul-mouthed aliens & robots.
Nothing hits the heart anymore.

16.02.2026 16:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 02/ Would be extra good if those things happened before I die. As it stands, trying to find a travel buddy that will walk slowly is becoming more and more difficult. The days of solo adventures are in the past. I'm trying to adjust my sails.
16.02.2026 16:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've never truly cared what anyone thinks....that said, I still yearn for snowshoes, a great ride on a snowmobile thru the Nordic forests during a heavy snowfall, going to market everyday anywhere in Europe (and beyond)...just disappearing among people who herd sheep, make pots & live in tiny houses
16.02.2026 16:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So....this is a flea toy for you. Did I get that right?
16.02.2026 16:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm dreaming abt moving to another country...have wanted to all of my life. I watch lots of videos about expats around the world and one thing got me thinking: books are HEAVY to ship. How on earth does anyone part with them?
Forget logistics & costs...this has me troubled. Hah!!
Every day there is another uplifting greeting from Haarlem.
So nice to look forward to these.
I love seeing the pics from Haarlem every day.
Good morning from my place, aka....nowhere special.
Very nice! I'd love to go out snowshoeing but these days, just going out to get the mail leaves me struggling to catch my breath. I'm very, very envious.
Keep walking in the snow...it's good for the soul.
I miss making snowmen and igloos.
Mid February is when hope springs eternal.
Visions of tulips and desert flowers begin to take seed for another round of green grass and warmer temps.
Then....bam! we get hit over the head with the oppression of summer heat. Stay in the mountains!!
