Hard to put into words what Sonny has meant to us the last 10 years but I think if you zoom out a little you realise how rare it is for any football fan to witness a club legend’s story unfurl infront of you. Feel very lucky (and very sad) to have watched him every week. Special man, special player.

Just to resurface this... new season kicked off on Tuesday with a fair amount of backlash to the super premium pass gatelocking a new card (!) Week-long timeouts being issued on the official Discord for complaining/raising concerns. That is NOT good community practice. Real shame.

I hope they're having second thoughts about this mode & upcoming changes. The community is as angry as its ever been and creators have publicly declared boycotts. There's enough noise to make a difference. I just wonder if SD care enough, or whether they're just looking to squeeze last $s out of us?

I can't see a way they retain players if they proceed with this approach. They've already lost a lot of trust throughout their community, and that's so hard to come back from. It's a shame, there's some amazing content creators and the game is still great fun, three years down the line.

I'm a pretty casual player and having a complete card collection isn't a huge driver, so I'm happy enough to ignore Kid Omega and move on as normal. But with news the season pass is increasing in cost (as well as gatekeeping new cards there too) it feels like Snap is at a crossroads.

What's interesting to me is Second Dinner have in the past recognised (often from community feedback) when they've overstepped the mark and found a way to roll back changes, or at least make things more fair. Not this time though. This time they held firm and effectively said this is the new normal.

The summary is free-to-play players (who are only just about able to keep up with new card acquisitions through many, many hours of gameplay) need to have won around 3000 games of Snap in the LTM (which is only available for 8 days) to get the Kid Omega card. Your other option is to spend $100...

I play a fair bit of #MarvelSnap and have done since the global launch, so I take a particularly close interest in events of the last week.

tl:dr - Second Dinner has doubled down on the LTM 'High Voltage Overdrive' (their best LTM), the very expensive gatekept new card and future $-draining ideas.
