I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

Indie Bookstores Will Soon Be Able to Sell E-Books Bookshop, a site that lets independent, bricks-and-mortar bookshops sell their books online, is launching an app that will allow the sales of e-books, too.

For example, a company can provide a paid identity verification service and provide a verification list users can subscribe to. I could also subscribe to a list from the New York Times of all their verified journalists. This would add some visual indicator to their profile on Bluesky.

What about expanding the moderation list architecture to create verification lists that users can subscribe to? This centralizes verification within AT Protocol and creates "composable" verification.

They also spend significant resources on painting spaces outside of their echo chambers as echo chambers, creating a false equivalency. This factionalized version of media is what they want.

You’ve gotta give Elon Musk some credit: Sure, he transformed Twitter into a haven for misinformation where the worst people on earth can pay to be first in your replies, but at least it doesn’t work

My latest for The Atlantic, about the chaos era of social media, and how the debates over decentralization are reminiscent of debates over the U.S. Constitution. And yes, I talk about Habermas and the public sphere!
