I think my major "fix" for Megas would be to either only give them to Pokemon that are fully evolved, give whatever could still evolve with a mega a proper evolution (Ala Archaludon) and introduce new ones in spinoffs that can be transferred around at a later date.

-and the amount of "France" in Kalos is so weirdly limited compared to Unova with New York it kinda just felt like they used it as a marketing gimmick.
